ZOLEO Communicator - How To Activate

Choose your country (it must match the billing address of your credit card), and this will determine what rate plans and currencies are available to you.

  • Create your account. Before you start, you’ll need to have the following on hand:


    • Your ZOLEO device
    • Credit card
    • Two (2) emergency (SOS) contacts and one (1) check-in contact (name, phone number, and email)
  • Input your ZOLEO device information, then pick an email address for your ZOLEO device and select the home country for your ZOLEO SMS number.
  • Pick your prefered ZOLEO messaging plan, then input your SOS and Check-In contact details.
  • Input your credit card details, and your ZOLEO will be ready to use in just a few minutes. We’ll send you an email when your device is activated on the Iridium satellite network.
  • Download and install the ZOLEO app from Google Play and the Apple store.
  • Using the ZOLEO app, connect to your ZOLEO device via Bluetooth. When doing so, if you don’t have Wi-Fi or cellular access, ensure the device has an unobstructed line of sight to the sky to connect via satellite.
  • Go outside and send a test message (ensuring the device logo is facing up and has an unobstructed view of the sky)
